Is it really a FREE world?

Is it really a free world?
When do we realize that we’ve become conformists instead of believers?  What happened to standing up to what one believes in?  Within time does government make us accept what they figure is right for our country?  In the early 1960’s a generation of hope, love, joy, and faith grew within the people of  America.  This generation believed that peace and love would bring unity and equality to the nation.  Amongst these people there existed no laws, no judgments were done to those that believed in gay marriage, but instead they were welcomed and loved.
This era died within time because laws were formed and conformity arose within the upcoming eras.  Today, the world lives with the everyday life of abiding by the law and criticizing their neighbor’s life if he doesn‘t live in their accordance.  Laws have been made to oppose same sex marriage, however, acts have been made supporting these commitments.  Religiously we believe that God made the women for the men and the men for the women and with this the government uses religion to blind the country and make them support that gay- marriage is unlawful.
Where does peace come in this scenario?  What happens to those who fall for the person of the same sex? Do they live a life an unhappy life because government forbids them to marry their soul mate? Or do they fight for what they believe is right till their voice is heard and a difference is made?   For example, Martin Luther King Jr. he died making a difference in the world through peace and not through violence.  Nevertheless, he taught the nation a lesson… that through determination, perseverance , and non-violence protests one can achieve their dreams. In MLK’s case his dream was unity and equality for the colored race.  He was killed in the battle but his followers followed through striving for a difference in the lives of those who would come after them.
Today, equality is not the struggle but acceptance.  The government does not seem to accept gay-marriage making the struggle of those in love with the same sex an almost impossible dream.   The lives of these people are changed everyday with rejection.  For example, “In 1961, a Harvard-trained astronomer, Frank Kameny, stood alone against the federal government. Fired from his federal job simply for being gay….”(Carpenter 1).  He wasn’t accepted for who he was and his personal life went way beyond affecting his business life.  Families are torn apart for the thought of “ what will they say if they know my son or daughter is gay?” never do they stop and think I need to stand by my son or daughter because this is a battle that he or she might have to fight for the rest of his life.
To those who believe that gay-marriage is unlawful I ask that you put yourself in their shoes and live their lives just one day because it is not an easy journey but they decide to take it seeking peace at the end of the battle.  Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances you just have to live life to the fullest stand up for what you believe in, don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love if you fall for a person of the same sex and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend rejecting and neglecting is a second  where you can change a life of happiness that you can never get back.

The right to be who one wants to be..

The video shown talked about homosexuals and how this world doesn't seem to accept them for who they are.  The injustices brought upon these people is inhuman... Everyone deserves to be happy and pursue happiness no matter if they fall for the person of the same sex.  This dilemma falls in what we believe religiously and governably. Religiously all men were meant for a woman and every person who is attracted to the same sex is a sinner.  The government has build us the same way with not allowing gay marriage. So when will this place be at peace if every human is judged for being in love with the same sex?

Will Egypt acquire Peace???

Egypt has gone through ups and downs when it comes down to their government.  This country started with leaders in the 1960's, leaders that within time began taking dictatorship into consideration.  The country was then taken into the hands of fascism and the country's people no longer had a say in a right of own living.   Today Egypt is undergoing a phase of rebellion and violence.  Numerous amounts of people are killed daily due to the overpowering of the government.  Now the question lies on will Egypt ever acquire peace between the people and the government?

Subject: Central Asia Institute
The Central Asia Institute (CIA) is a non-profit organization designed to help educate children in parts of Asia such as Pakistan, and Afghanistan. This organization is actively aided by community members who are trained specifically for increasing the education of children in Asia. Because of the varied cultures and customs in this area, diversity in languages has overgrown for years. The forming of the Central Asia Institute in the rural areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan didn’t stop there, projects in other areas such as Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia have taken place as well.
This non-profit organization was founded in 1996, by Greg Mortenson. The inspiration came from the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan which then started to grow in him and led him to fulfill the promise he made to the children of Asia in coming back and building a school. He couldn’t have done the funding himself but thanks to Dr. Hoerni two projects were fully funded, “a bridge over Braldu River and a school in Korphe Village” (History pg. 1). Dr Hoerni established the organization in 1996 naming Greg the director, but unfortunately passed away a year later. Nevertheless, his death did’nt delay nor decline any part of the projects to come or progress to be made. Over the years the CAI has expanded through several regions of Asia with the prominence on education.
Central Asia’s institute centers their attention on rural areas where little or no organizations like theirs serve. This organization has always focused on education primarily but, “ Since 2005, CAI refined and focused its priority to focus mainly on rural education and literacy, especially for females” (history pg. 1) Educating a female was important because if her education achieved up until fifth grade then three important factors would be reached; the immortality rate would drop, simple living factors were learned, and she would independently survive. With the help of funding, the children have been able to fulfill their dream of learning and receive a proper education where they no longer use the ground to write on. The thirst for an education was quenched when Greg Mortenson gave the children the opportunity to learn.

An Awakening to America...

Greg Mortinson was the man who first built the Central Asia Institute in 1996.  He had made a promise to the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan to come back and build them a school, and he kept his word.  his goal was to get the young women educated.  Educating a female in r=this rural area was important and vital; if her education  achieved until 5th grade then three important factors were reached: the immortality rate would drop, simple living factors were learned, and sh would independently survive.  Many institutions now are open in Central Asia all of them seeking to help the most needed i having an education.  These facilities are all taught by community members who are trained in training programs, and this doesn't only make community members find comfort in that someone from their own community is teaching their their own it makes the children open their heart to yearn for an education and to fulfill their dreams of maybe even teaching one day to give back to the community and to Greg Mortinson for the opportunity of an education.  Greg Mortinson did not only bring hope to the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan; he sent a calling to all people in the world that anything can be done if it is done from the bottom of the heart.  He made a promise and made it happen on his own because it is through ones word that others see who u truly are if u keep it or you break it, and Greg Mortinson kept his word showing that anything can be done.

Peace, Serenity, Harmony, and Tranqulity.... what do they all mean?

When....
When ones soul is at ease,
when one has found itself truly,
when no bullet hits the floor after a gunshot is fired,
when no more sobs are heard for the loss of an innocent child,
when no child sits in the corner of a cold empty room
sobbing for the yearn of a blanket to keep warm,
when every child's thirst for a glass of water
or hunger for a loaf of bread is quenched,
when education is truly free for all
and equality is truly equality,
when no corrupt people exist in the world,
when all battles are over and wars ended with treaties,
when no woman is told she cannot have a child,
when a teenager refuses to take drugs,
when no hearts and promises are broken no more....
When ALL of this happens will peace finally exist?
Or will OUR world still be at war filled with
bustle and discord?
